Social contribution in Greece

At GENESIS Pharma, we have dedicated over twenty years to investing in an extensive social contribution program.

Central to this program is our support to Patient Associations for chronic and rare diseases and charitable organizations assisting patients. Throughout these years, we have been consistently supporting numerous Patient Associations with respect to their work, aiming to assist them in seamlessly delivering their services to patients.

Equally vital for us is our commitment to public awareness initiatives and campaigns for health and prevention issues. Thus, we have been implementing awareness activities for diseases such as multiple sclerosis, cancer, rare genetic diseases, and more.

We also undertake programs addressed to children and the young generation, primarily focused on education, equal opportunities, recognizing excellence, as well as promoting sports. Among these initiatives is the long-standing 'Generous School' program. It is a program that began fourteen years ago with the objective of providing computers and educational material to schools in remote islands and regions across Greece. Additionally, it aims to implement infrastructure upgrades and small-scale renovation projects at schools in the Attica region. More than 2,400 children in 26 remote regions have benefited from this program, while infrastructure upgrades have been implemented in 16 schools in Attica. Furthermore, between 2014 and 2021, we provided sponsorship support for the training of the Greek open sea swimming champion Kelly Araouzou for the Olympic Games, as well as for athletes of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee between 2018 and 2021.

Over the past years, we have significantly strengthened our investment in solidarity actions focused on special social needs. Our company has been actively participating in the 'DIATROFI (Nutrition)' Program, implemented by the Prolepsis Institute to address children's food insecurity. Through 'DIATROFI', we have provided 59,000 healthy meals to over 800 children in 16 schools over the past years.

Our employees also contribute significantly to our company's social initiatives through the voluntary team GENEROUS, created to support NGOs and institutions in need. Finally, at GENESIS Pharma, we have also formed a running team that participates in sports events to support causes of Patient Associations and NGOs.
